Good Morning Washington says farewell to Jummy who has recently joined the team at NBC New York. We thought is would be fitting to send her off in style and here are my VALidated picks to make it in the Big Apple.
Wow! May I just say…what a whirlwind of a week celebrating some of the best in the business. I wanted to share a round up of all the incredibly cool events I am so grateful for having been able to attend over the past few days. My new friend Kimberly Guilfoyle who we know and love for her brains and beauty on Fox News’ The Five graced the cover of 25 A Magazine and partied with Fox pals including Stacey Dash and Diana Falzone at the very trendy eatery Hunt and Fish Club in NYC. So much respect and admiration for a fellow on-air journalist whose accomplishments far surpass inspirational.
Simultaneously, Resident Magazine hosted their Harry Hamlin cover party in soho so my bestie and queen of indie film casting world Adrienne Stern and I went from one to the other.
Earlier that day I spoke with Oscar Winner Susan Sarandon at the screening of her new film with Rose Byrne out just in time for Mother’s Day called The Meddler. Life can sometimes be so serendipitous because the talented Lorene Scafaria who wrote and directed the feature also happened to have been the random kind gal I asked to help zip my dress at a Women In Film Brunch weeks prior. You never really do know who you could be talking to. Emmy Winning TV Producer Amy Rosenblum was also one of the awesome influencers in the audience.
Friday, I attended Waitress which is in previews on Broadway with my partner in crime NAUGHTY Gossip’s Rob Shuter. The usher recognized him and didn’t even notice Meg Ryan was right across from us. That gave us a good giggle.
Yesterday evening entrepreneur turned actor who I’m so proud to call my friend Nick Loeb had a huge turn out at the AMC in Times Square at the screening of his new film Precious Cargo where his comedy crushed it. Friends of Loeb you may have heard of…(more like definitely have)…that showed up toshow support included fashion icon Vera Wang. The film stars the one and only Bruce Willis and Mark-Paul Gosselaar. Shout out to newcomer Jenna Kelly who was also in attendance at the screening. She’s definitely one to look out for.
Anthony Anderson is a down to earth dad on and off camera. I had the pleasure of sitting down with the star of ABC’s new hit comedy series”Black-ish” last week where Anthony unveiled the #SwifferSDads campaign video and was joined by a handful of dad’s that are all about household chores. Anderson opened up about some very personal experiences and challenges he faced as a young comedian and even gave us some insight as to what we can expect for the upcoming season finale. Check it out here and remember youvebeenVALidated!
It’s the 10th anniversary of “Dancing With The Stars” and I want to hear what you enjoyed most about the premiere! For me first and foremost it would have to be the surprise of having Derek Hough back with his Golden Girl partner Nastia Liukin, who also happens to be an incredible friend and it’s no secret that is who I am routing for :):) I also enjoyed watching fellow Florida Gator and TV Host Erin Andrews poke fun at The Bachelor’s Chris Soules, calling him out for constantly kissing as well as getting tons of Monday night screen time. Of course watching Noah Galloway, an Iraq war veteran who lost both an arm and a leg is truly powerful and inspirational!
youvebeenVALidated to share your favorite moments. Looking forward to it!
